Vaneesha Dutra, Ph.D. is the founder and CEO of Kalerix Advisors and a finance professor at Howard University with over 20 years of combined experience in banking, real estate portfolio management, and financial education. Dr. Dutra actively managed equity and real estate investment portfolios, worked in the mutual fund industry, and in retail banking. As a professor with almost two decades of experience in higher education, she has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in subjects such as investment banking, ETA, financial institutions and markets, and advanced corporate finance. As an active researcher, she publishes academic papers on investor behavior, entrepreneurship, and market trends. This combination of academic and practical experience provides valuable perspective and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems in a theoretical, yet pragmatic way. She currently serves on numerous boards and frequently is invited to speak on topics such as financial well-being, entrepreneurship, and investor/consumer behavior.
