Julius currently serves as the Director of Community for 1863 Ventures. In this role he leads 1863’s efforts to deliver growth-oriented support, tools, resources, and experiences to 1863 Ventures alumni companies and New Majority Community “NMC” entrepreneurs nation-wide.
Prior to this role Julius served as an Investment Associate for Techstars DC powered by J.P. Morgan and as Chief of Staff/Director of Special projects at gener8tor. In both roles, he worked
to champion strategies for sourcing, investing, and supporting historically underestimated founders located in undercapitalized markets.
Prior to working in VC, Julius worked in federal government as a Policy & Inclusive Innovation Specialist at the Minority Business Development Agency and as a Supervisory Partnership
Specialist at the U.S. Census Bureau.
He holds a J.D. from University of Baltimore School of law, M.A. from Bowie State University and B.A. in Quantitative Methods, economics minor, from the University of Maryland Baltimore
County.
