For two decades, Dr. Geter has applied her expertise in public health, psychology, and policy development to tackle the effects of structural racism and systemic inequity. Geter launched Impactful Collaboration, a consulting firm dedicated to centering health equity through data analytics and storytelling, policy development, and thought-provoking education. A sought-after speaker, advisor, and co-author of more than 30 peer-reviewed articles on health disparities, Geter’s recommendations have advanced national guidelines, initiatives, and interventions.
Dr. Geter was Atlanta’s inaugural Chief Health Officer. Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including being named to Morehouse School of Medicine’s distinguished “Top 10 Under 40” list, called a Trailblazer to the Black Female Therapists “Top 25 in Mental Health and Wellness” list, and inducted into the University of Kentucky College of Public Health Hall of Fame in 2023.
